British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, officials in Lagos confirmed on late Wednesday. The athlete was involved in a car accident near Lagos on Monday, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.

Healing from Light Wounds

The sports star had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, his management team confirmed on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” Omotosho said.

Remembering the Victims

The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”

His release from the hospital follows the boxing community offered its support for the fighter in the wake of the devastating accident.
