Barça to Host First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in La Liga 30 months after they moved out to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans are permitted inside as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Preparatory Events
Barcelona held a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
